Most of us follow the same routine in the shower every day: wash, rinse, and repeat. Then we style and primp our hair with gel, styling spray, or mousse. But what if there was a way to get the sexy, stylish look we want – especially on busy days – in a fraction of the time?
WEN by Chaz Dean was born out of that realization. In his salon, Chaz saw both ordinary women and celebrities come in with similar ills: uneven dye jobs, split ends, frizz… the list goes on. To combat these hair problems, he created WEN Hair, a cleansing conditioner that replaces all of the hair-care products in your cabinet or shower with one beautiful, powerful clean.
We’re used to using shampoos that contain sulfates to clean our hair; they create a familiar sudsy lather that makes us feel like we’re getting really clean. But over time, these products can actually damage the hair shaft and strip hair of its natural health and vitality.
Cleansing conditioners are different. They are low-lather products that gently remove buildup and other gunk. While more pumps are required for these babies than shampoo and conditioner together, they wash out like a dream. And they’re good for all hair types, too, so curly-haired chicks don’t need to worry about missing out on the love.
WEN is one of the most popular cleansing conditioner brands out there – over 40 million bottles have been sold. One reason it’s so popular is because it’s ridiculously easy to use – just three steps: rinse, distribute, rinse. WEN also smells so good – one of the most popular scents, Sweet Almond Mint, smells like a delicious cookie.
Chaz Dean remains committed to giving each and every woman the vibrant, healthy hair they deserve. Thousands of women trust WEN to give their hair incredible softness and manageability.
In an article written by Emily McClure for Bustle Magazine, she reviewed WEN hair by Dean Chaz. For a little background, Wen by Dean Chaz is the maker of a hair cleansing system. It doesn’t lather. The cleansing and conditioning is from roots to ends. It comes in several natural fragrances. The one that was chosen, for this review was the fig variety for oily hair.
The challenge that Emily has is that her hair is oily and fine. She has to spend quite a lot of time and equally as much product to get her hair looking the way it should. Think about it; she’s a hair stylist. People expect her hair to be perfect. That’s a lot of pressure so you know that what she chooses is something of importance.
Emily used the Sephora endorsed version of Wen hair cleansing system for a week. At first, the product seemed as if the amount recommended was a lot. But then, as she used it she could understand why. It doesn’t lather but she could feel an immediate clean and tingly feeling to the scalp that was awesome. It cleansed thoroughly through from scalp to roots and ends. It’s a very complete product. She noticed that it took the Wen hair styling product well. But she did say that it did take a few days to actually keep the curl all day long. It’s good to experiment with several of the products. The bottom line is it’s fantastic and her hair adjusted well after a few days.
Also, this system is so thorough that if you do use a lot of product on the hair, it will clear it ALL out. This is part of the adjustment period. It’s great to know it’s REALLY clean the first time. Wen hair is available on Amazon.
