“Montage of Heck,” a documentary about former Nirvana mastermind Kurt Cobain, may be set to release in May, but a trailer for the show has already been released.
According to Twitter, the documentary was directed by Bret Morgen and produced by Cobain’s widow, Hole front woman Courtney Love, and his now grown daughter, Frances Bean. Love provided numerous family photos and film clips, in addition to various pieces of artwork produced by Cobain. The film also features never-before-heard song recordings of the legendary rocker.
Cobain committed suicide by shooting himself in April 1994. Rumors and conspiracy theories ran rampant, including the belief that Love masterminded a murder-for-hire plot meant to look like a suicide.
The documentary will include segments on Cobain’s humble beginnings, troubled youth, and fatherhood, as well as his adaptation to life in the limelight.
